Is the gold a more dense metal? Or is is simply an optical illusion and the thickness is actually greater on the gold American eagle coin?

I was wondering if there was an upcoming coin shows in cache valley. I was thinking I could host one but I dont have enough money to fund one

I am planning on moving out of the country and going to india. I have some gold silver bullion that I would like to take with me but I don't know the laws.
